  • This simple scanning exercise can help prevent things from getting worse.

How Doing Energy Work Manifests in the Body

  • There are seven main chakras in our systems. They are precisely where the seven main endocrine glands are in the physical body.

Emily: “Your higher self is another word for your intuition. And it’s coming from you for you. It’s not any other voice. It’s not me. It’s coming for you — it’s in your own voice.”

The Seven Chakras

  • The crown chakra is at the top of your head that connects you up to heaven. The third eye is your intuition.
  • The throat chakra is about speaking your truth. The heart chakra is about giving and receiving unconditional love.
  • The solar plexus is about trusting in yourself. The sacral chakra is about creativity.
  • It drops down into the root chakra, which is about safety, security, finances, and family.
  • You foster a deep knowing of yourself when these are all lit up. The last thing Emily does is close the container and prompt you to get into aligned action.

What Taking a Pause Really Means

  • We often tell ourselves that we have no time. You have to understand why you want to do it.
  • We have this upper limit we get caught in because we’re used to feeling subpar.
  • Emily does five things every day: getting outside in nature, eating whole foods, hydration, meditation, and moving the body.
  • You beam when you value yourself and your energy.

Emily’s Parting Piece of Advice

  • Give yourself permission to make it what you need to make it.

Emily: “We often stop ourselves from growth and ascension and intuition and joy and love and peace simply because we think it should be certain ways.”

  • Giving yourself a minute of space will help you on so many levels.
  • Your body and energy are screaming at you, but you’re too busy to listen.

Emily: “That’s why meditation works. It speaks in whispers, but we have to get quiet to listen to those messages.”
